Michael's Story

At the age of 18, Michael Maresca began teaching. At 19, he joined the National Tour of “Saturday Night Fever”, where he met his wife Marqui. And at 23, he launched “The For Starters Program,” his first formal vocal program online.

Since then, he has worked with more than 15,000 singers worldwide, developing his uniquely effective One Voice technique by changing how vocalists understand their voices and how they use them.

Now he’s running MMOV Studios with Marqui, and acting as Head of Voice for Texas State University’s Musical Theatre Program. Together, the talented pair serve a growing number of local and international clients with their MMOV staff of certified One Voice coaches.

The Challenges

Conducting voice lessons and master classes to students around the world is enough to keep any vocal coach busy. Add teaching college classes and travelling to musical theatre workshops, and there’s not much time left to run a business.
